TSA PreCheck Sign-Up Now Offered At Annapolis MVA Office

Travelers can apply for TSA PreCheck at MVA offices in Annapolis, Salisbury and Waldorf.

From the Transportation Security Administration: Maryland travelers who are interested in applying for TSA Pre✓® can now do so in three designated Motor Vehicle Administration offices in Maryland—in the Annapolis, Salisbury and Waldorf branch offices. Yes, area residents now can do more than get a driver’s license, pick up license plates or take a driver’s test at these three DMV offices.

TSA Pre✓® is the popular Transportation Security Administration program that allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to enroll directly in the TSA Pre✓® expedited screening program that allows travelers to leave on their shoes and light-weight jackets when getting screened at designated airport checkpoint lanes as well as allowing them to keep their personal electronic devices in their carry-on bags and their 3-1-1 liquids in their carry-on bags.

Maryland residents will be able to go through a pre-enrollment process online at www.TSA.gov and complete their background interview at the new application center in the DMV offices in Annapolis, Salisbury or Waldorf branch offices. Or they can apply as walk-ins. Application services for the program are open at the three MVA branches Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
