Two Cases Of Arson In Annapolis Over Weekend: Fire Officials

Annapolis saw two cases of arson over the weekend, fire officials report.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Annapolis Fire Department ruled two Sunday fires acts of arson, according to a report. The first fire claimed an oyster boat. The second burned a vehicle.

The boat fire drew crews to the 700 block of Second Street just before 6 a.m. Sunday, the release said. The car fire brought responders to the 2000 block of West Street just before 11 a.m. on Sunday, according to the statement. Firefighters extinguished both blazes.

Both fires are under investigation. Anybody with information is asked to call the fire and Explosives Service Unit at (410) 263-7975, option 3.
