Two Stabbed in Severna Park Dispute

A Chester man described by Anne Arundel Police as an "unwelcomed family acquaintance" reportedly entered a home and fought with two people.

SEVERNA PARK, MD — A man who forced his way into a Severna Park house Saturday morning fought with and allegedly stabbed two people in the home, authorities say.

Anne Arundel County Police say the double-stabbing happened about 10:40 a.m. Saturday inside a residence in the 1100 block of Old County Road in Severna Park.

Officers said an “unwelcomed family acquaintance” -- Peter George Forlifer, 34, of 1540 Postal Road, Apt. 105, in Chester -- showed up at the house. Once Forlifer made his way into the rear of the home, he reportedly fought with a man who was stabbed by the suspect, police say.

A woman who intervened in the dispute was also stabbed by Forlifer, according to police.

Officers raced to the 911 call and within three minutes, had arrived and taken the suspect into custody.

The male victim was taken by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

A family member drove the female victim to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Forlifer is charged with:

  • Attempted second-degree murder
  • Home invasion
  • First-degree assault
  • Second-degree assault
  • First-degree burglary
