Two Teenagers Charged in Holiday Mail Thefts

The boys, from Annapolis and Arnold, were charged as juveniles for stealing Christmas cards in the Cape St. Claire area, say police.

Two teenagers have recently been charged with the theft of Christmas cards and other mail in the Cape St. Claire area, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The department says that on Dec. 22 and 23 it received reports of mailbox tampering and mail thefts in the community. Residents reported about 40 Christmas cards were stolen from mailboxes. In one case, the underage suspects tried to steal a package from a resident’s porch.

The suspects, a 16-year-old boy from Annapolis and a 17-year-old boy from Arnold, were both charged on juvenile citations with theft.
