Update: County Police Respond to Mall Incident
Police are still looking for two men they said robbed a Westfield Annapolis jewelry store at gunpoint.
Anne Arundel County Police are still looking for two men they said robbed a mall jewelry store at gunpoint Monday afternoon.
At about 3:50 p.m., officers responded to Jewelers for the report of an armed robbery. The store owner told police two men came into the store, located across from the JCPenney mall entrance, and began to look at the men’s watches, according to a police report.
He said the men asked about the watches, then pulled out a handgun and ordered a male employee to hand over the watches. The employee gave them the watches, according to the report.

The two men ran away from the store.
Police converged on the mall, stationing cruisers at several entrances. A K-9 unit also was called to the area to assist in the search, along with the state police helicopter.

Police were not able to find the robbers.
Police said one of the men is black, in his mid 20s, about five foot, 10 inches tall with a thin build. He has a dark complexion and was a wearing a dark-colored New York Yankees baseball cap, a black nylon parka and had a dark-colored backpack.
Police said the other man is black, also in his mid 20s and has a thin build. He was wearing a dark green jacket, a dark-colored New York Yankees baseball cap and a dark-colored backpack.
