ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — If you’re planning to celebrate Valentine’s Day with dinner out at one of Anne Arundel County’s best local restaurants, don’t wait until the last minute to make a reservation.

Feb. 14 falls on a Tuesday this year, and that means Anne Arundel County restaurants could be busy the weekend of Feb. 9-11, or even the weekend after, a three-day weekend for many people with Presidents Day observance on Feb. 20.

Many, but not all, local restaurants handle reservations through OpenTable, an online service that warns more than half of the most romantic restaurants in America are typically booked up by Feb. 7.

Restaurant Specials

If you're looking for dinner specials, Titan Hospitality has you covered.

The restaurant group will run a three-course prix fixe dinner for $75 per person from Friday through Tuesday. The deal also includes champagne specials.

Smashing Grapes in Annapolis and Gamrbills will have crispy lobster tail, seared rockfish and cheesecake brulee.

Blackwall Hitch in Annapolis will offer Caesar salad, Hudson Valley duck and chocolate mousse cake.

Blackwall Barn & Lodge in Gambrills will serve lobster bisque, Chilean seabass and red velvet Smith Island cake.

Free Romantic Event

If you want to add an outing to your date night, the Annapolis Town Center will also host a romantic fire and ice event on Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The gathering will have:

  • Fire performances
  • Firepits and s’mores
  • Live entertainment
  • Photo opportunities
  • Glass blowing with McFadden Glass Blowing
  • Warm drinks and donuts from Stoney Man
  • Capital Kettle Corn
