Wawa Stores to Hire 5,000 Employees, Includes Maryland

All 700 Wawa convenience stores in six states, including Maryland, will hire workers over the next three months, the company says.

Wawa has announced a massive hiring surge of more than 5,000 new associates at all of its more than 700 stores across six states, including Maryland.

The convenience store/gas station chain has locations in Annapolis, Bel Air, Edgewater, Aberdeen, Glen Burnie, Gambrills, Beltsville, Upper Marlboro, Halethorpe, and Millersville.

The company-wide hiring campaign will span over the next three months, looking to fill full- and part-time customer-service level positions.

Every Wawa location will have job opportunities and select stores will also host open houses throughout March and April to learn more about the jobs available, according to a news release.

More than 100 stores will host the open houses and will offer free coffee for those that attend. A sign announcing the dates/time of the open house will be posted at the select stores.
