Weather Alert: Anne Arundel, Prince George's Counties Under Severe Thunderstorm Warning
Annapolis, Severn, Bowie, Mayo and Upper Marlboro are some of the communities under a sever thunderstorm warning Wednesday night.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Anne Arundel County and Prince George’s County until 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.
At 9:40 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located over Upper Marlboro moving northeast at 50 mph.

Areas included in the warning: Bowie, Annapolis, Crofton, Largo, Mayo, Shady Side, Deale, Naval Academy, Upper Marlboro, Severn River, South River, Pinehurst, Sillery Bay, Gibson Island, Rhode River, Severna Park, Arnold, Lake Shore, Parole And Kettering.

You should get indoors to protect yourself from wind and lightning. Move to an interior room on the lowest floor. Don't drive underneath trees or in wooded areas until the threat has passed.
Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. This storm may cause serious injury and significant property damage.
