About 70 Admiral Heights residents attended the block party on Sept. 16. They ranged from young families to seniors and long-time residents to newcomers.
Most adults talked in groups while the children had a blast playing with an oversize, blown up beach ball, a stick -um toss game, soccer ball, football, fishing pole, a brightly colored, inflatable animal, soap bubbles, and a multi-colored parachute.
Among the attendees were Fred Paone who is currently serving on the City Council as alderman for Annapolis Ward 2; Kurt Riegel who is running against Paone for alderman for Annapolis Ward 2; and John Astle, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for mayor.

The weather was just right for the party so most people arrived at 4 p.m. and some lingered until around 8 p.m. Thanks to Murph McCarthy, Amanda and Grant Garcia, John Leupold, Maria Lebow-Little, Jim Burdick, and Rachel Breen for all their hard work.
