Weather Decision For Anne Arundel County Public Schools On Dec 15

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Schools will close early due to winter weather in Anne Arundel County on Friday, Dec. 15. Officials announced that Anne Arundel County Public Schools will be closing two hours early. There will be no afternoon half-day sessions of pre-kindergarten or ECI classes.

In addition, all school-sponsored after-school activities scheduled for Friday, including evening middle school and high school classes, are canceled, district officials said. Parents of All-County Orchestra students who are at North County High School on Friday must pick up those students no later than 12:30 p.m.

At this time, all activities scheduled for Saturday, Dec.16, will take place as scheduled. For the status of activities sponsored by agencies other than Anne Arundel County Public Schools, including after-school day care, check with that agency.

The region is under a winter weather advisory for snow from 1 to 7 p.m., with 1 to 2 inches of accumulation expected.
