What's Open, Closed On New Year's On 2017 In Anne Arundel County
Look out for refuse and recycling, government office, and transit schedule changes, among others in Anne Arundel County on Jan. 1.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — Anne Arundel County government offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 1, for the New Year holiday, along with Anne Arundel County Public Schools, county libraries, and more. The winter holiday for the county's schools runs through Monday, Jan. 1; classes resume Tuesday. You can see the complete Anne Arundel County Public Schools calendar online.
Refuse and recycling will be shifted by one day, so if your normal collection day is on Monday, Jan. 1, then collection will occur on Tuesday. If your normal collection day is on Tuesday, then collection will take place on Wednesday.
Government Closings
City of Annapolis offices are closed on Monday, Jan. 1, as are county and state offices. All court offices are also closed.

All Anne Arundel County libraries are closed Monday, Jan. 1, for New Year's Day.
Annapolis New Year Holiday Changes
The Annapolis Transit schedule will change for the New Year holiday. City buses will operate a Sunday schedule on Monday, Jan. 1.
