Wind Warning in Place at Chesapeake Bay Bridge
The bridge between Anne Arundel and Queen Anne's counties is one of several where wind warnings have been issued Wednesday.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Maryland Transportation Authority has issued a wind warning at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on Wednesday, March 2.
Winds of 30 to 39 mph trigger wind warnings, transportation officials say.
Drivers of the following vehicles should use extra caution while crossing the bridge during a wind warning:

- house trailers
- box trailers
- motorcycles
- vehicles with roof-mount racks containing cargo
- any other vehicle that may be subject to high winds
State transportation officials advise keeping both hands on the wheel and slowing down amid high winds.
The National Weather Service calls for winds of 21 to 23 mph Wednesday, with gusts of 38 mph.

There is also a gale warning in effect for the Chesapeake Bay, according to the National Weather Service, which includes Anne Arundel County.
