Wintry Mix Possible In MD This Weekend: See Latest Timing, Forecast
Marylanders should expect cold temperatures through the weekend, with a bit of sleet, before unseasonable warmth returns early next week.
MARYLAND — Cold temperatures will persist the next couple of days before an incoming warm front could bring a mix of wintry weather to the Baltimore area late this weekend, according to forecasts.
Friday will be cold and cloudy at times with temperatures reaching 40 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The mercury won't change much on Saturday, but skies will be brighter before temperatures dip to 30 degrees overnight.
By Sunday, a warm front moving into the state could lead to a period of wintry mix including some light ice accumulation along and west of the Blue Ridge. While colder rain is expected east of the Blue Ridge to the Baltimore metro, there is a chance of sleet and snow between 1-4 p.m., the NWS said.
