Woman Chases Down Robber, Gets Punched in Face: Police

Also in Annapolis police reports: groceries taken from an unlocked car, bikes taken from open garage, umbrella swiped from car.

Theft of Bicycles – Unit block of Compromise St – 12/24 at 8:25pm: An observant citizen saw two juveniles steal two bicycles from an open garage. Officers located the two 16-year-old boys from Annapolis riding the bicycles on Sixth St. The juveniles were arrested, charged with theft, and released to their guardians. The bicycles were returned to their owner.

Stolen Vehicle – 1300 block of Tyler Av – 12/24 from 1pm to 9:45pm: A red 1994 Toyota Camry, MD reg. 7BF9837, was stolen from the parking lot.

Robbery – Unit block of Carver St – 12/24 at 11pm: A boy was assaulted and threatened with a knife by a male suspect he knows. The suspect demanded the victim’s wallet. The suspect took the victim’s wallet and fled the area.

Theft from Vehicle – Unit block of Silverwood Circle – 12/24 at 11:30pm to 12/25 at 2pm: Groceries, jewelry, a grey Michael Kors down jacket, and a gift card were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Robbery – Green St at Duke of Gloucester St – 12/27 at 2:40am: The adult female victim was sitting outside in the area when an adult male suspect approached her, pushed her head against a wall, and snatched her wallet from her hand. The suspect fled on Duke of Gloucester St toward Church Circle. The victim chased after the suspect and grabbed his hood, he turned, punched her in the face, and continued running.

Theft from Vehicle – 300 block of Forbes St – 12/26 at 3:30pm to 12/27 at 10:20am: An umbrella was stolen from a vehicle that was left with a window partially down.

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1:00AM and 5:00AM. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
