Woman Raped in Downtown Annapolis Restroom: Police
A woman out with a group of people was attacked when a Severn man followed her into the restroom at the Harbormaster's office, police say.

A Severn man is charged with rape for allegedly attacking an acquaintance in a bathroom at the Annapolis Harbormaster’s office, police say.
The victim, a 21-year-old woman, was out with a group of people in downtown Annapolis. About 3 a.m. the woman went to the restroom at the harbor office, 1 Dock St. Annapolis Police say one of the men from the group followed the woman into the bathroom and sexually assaulted her.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect, Michael Avram, 24, of Severn.

Avram has been arrested and will be charged with first- and second-degree rape, first- and second-degree assault, and false imprisonment.
