This holiday season started off with a bang as The Harbour School at Annapolis staged a production of "Yes, Virginia The Musical," an original production based one true story of 8-year old Virginia O'Hanlon, who wrote a letter to the New York Sun in 1897, inquiring about the existence of Santa Claus. The school musical program debuted last year as a part of Macy's holiday "Believe" campaign and was performed by schools nationwide. The Harbour School welcomed the holiday season with a special performance of "Yes, Virginia The Musical" on December 11, 2013.
During a time of financial setbacks for many educational arts programs, Macy's offered the script and score for "Yes, Virginia The Musical" royalty free to all participating schools helping The Harbour School at Annapolis to stage it's production. This year, The Harbour School at Annapolis was the only school in Maryland chosen to perform the show this year.
