Your Vote Can Declare Annapolis Best Town in America
OUTSIDE magazine is asking readers to vote for the best town in the country. Annapolis is in the East bracket, along with New York City.

A lively arts scene, great local restaurants, a picturesque waterfront – Annapolis has it all.
You can help the capital city win bragging rights over other East Coast cities – including New York City and Bar Harbor, Maine – by voting in OUTSIDE magazine’s Best Town in America contest.

The magazine editors say the honors will go to “the kind of place with top-notch restaurants, vibrant farmers’ markets, friendly neighborhoods, and unparalleled access to hiking and biking trails. In short, the perfect jumping-off point for adventure.”
Readers began voting May 4 for their favorite towns at OUTSIDE Online. The initial bracket is made up of 60 towns selected by OUTSIDE editors and four Wild Card Entries chosen by readers on Instagram.

Annapolis boosters can vote once per round over the next six weeks, with each round of voting lasting five days. The winners of each round will advance until the final two towns face off in a showdown to determine the Best Town of 2015.
OUTSIDE will feature the final 16 towns in its September 2015 issue. The 64 towns are grouped by region in seeded brackets.
Besides Annapolis, the East region includes: Bar Harbor, ME; Brattleboro, VT; Cold Spring, NY; East Stoudsburg, PA; Elmira, NY; Lake Placid, NY; Lebanon, NH; Middlebury, VT; New Haven, CT; Northampton, MA; Pittsburgh, PA; Portsmouth, NH; Providence, RI; Red Bank, NJ; and New York, NY.
