2 Arrested For Robbing Pasadena Man At Knifepoint

Two Pasadena men face robbery charges after they allegedly held up a man at knifepoint, police say.

PASADENA, MD — Two Pasadena men were arrested on robbery charges after they allegedly held up an acquaintance at knifepoint Sunday evening, according to Anne Arundel County Police. The robbery was reported about 5 p.m. in the 8500 block of Ft. Smallwood Road in Pasadena.

A man told police that two men he knew pushed him to the ground, took out a knife and demanded his book bag. When the victim gave them the bag, the robbers ran away.

Several officers searched the area and found both suspects nearby. After a brief foot chase both men were arrested without incident and charged with robbery and robbery-related offenses.

The two men charged are:

  • Philip Joseph Gardner, 18, of the 2000 block of Old Home Avenue
  • James Tyler Wood, 19, of the 8500 block of Beacon Point Road
