A 4.5 is a student that is to low fr co taught classroom but to high for a self contained classroom/FLS. Theses students are stuck "floundering around"in one or the other levels that are the only options right now. My son on a good day has a 1.68 GPA but on a fantastic day might have 2.0. He can't do basic math but still he is forced to take algebra and higher. Apparently there is nothing lower. So every year we stress and fuss and fight to skim by. He is at the point where even though he only has a year left he wants to drop out cause he feels he is to stupid to succeed. There have to be more families out here that feel the same or similar. I would love to band together and try and change things for our kids. Even if mine is gone I still will fight for the future of other generations to come.
