$50,000 Winning Lottery Ticket Stuns Pasadena Woman
Heather Dorr, 33, of Pasadena can't believe her luck after scratching off a $50,000 winning lottery ticket.

PASADENA, MD — A 33-year-old Pasadena woman received an early Christmas present when her $5 Maryland Lottery Deal or No Deal instant ticket revealed she had won $50,000. Heather Dorr bought the lucky scratch-off at Dash In #15301 in Pasadena Dec. 3. She left the store, sat in her car, scratched off the instant ticket and couldn’t believe what she was seeing. She sprinted back into the store and asked the staff to scan the instant ticket to confirm her big win.
“They said, ‘Oh my God, you won $50,000,’” Dorr told the Maryland Lottery.
Still in disbelief, Dorr confessed she didn't know what she'd do with her winnings.

“I have no idea. I feel like it’s not really happening,” she said.
Although Dorr said she enjoys playing scratch-offs, she had never won a prize prior to her big score this week. She is the third person to claim one of the game’s eight top prizes of $50,000, which leaves another five big winning scratch-offs awaiting discovery at Lottery retailers. In addition, there are seven $2,000 winning instant tickets remaining along with thousands of other prizes in the range of $5 to $1,000. Her lucky Lottery retailer also wins. For selling a top-prize winning scratch-off, the Pasadena Dash In located at 3900 Mountain Road received a bonus of $500 from the Lottery. The bonus is equal to one percent of the prize.
