HANOVER, MD — A 27-year-old Baltimore resident was identified Monday as the woman fatally shot outside her Hanover workplace.
Anne Arundel County Police said Asia Natee Virginia Thomas had just finished a shift at the Morningside House of Friendship on the 7500 block of Old Telegraph Road when the Friday shooting broke out just before 9 p.m.
Police said Thomas suffered multiple gunshot wounds after an altercation occurred while she was sitting outside the assisted living facility with Deontae Tranell Bryant, a 25-year-old man from Aberdeen.

Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene as police searched for Bryant, who witnesses said fled on foot into a nearby wooded area.
It wasn't until Saturday that investigators found Bryan had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Early findings indicate Thomas and Bryant had known one another before the shooting occurred, although police did not offer additional detail.
No other injuries were reported at the Hanover site.
Authorities are calling on anyone with information about the case to contact investigators at (410) 222-4731. Anonymous calls can be made to (410) 222-4700.
