Anne Arundel Police Officer Charged With Sexual Offense, Assault
An Anne Arundel County Police officer was charged with a sex offense, assault and two counts of malfeasance in office Friday.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — An Anne Arundel County Police officer faces sex offense charges after he reportedly touched a woman inappropriately, authorities say. A criminal summons was issued by the District Court Commissioner charging Officer Bradly Tuthill, 33, with fourth-degree sex offense, second-degree assault and two counts of malfeasance in office Friday.
On Jan. 30, the Anne Arundel County Police Department received a complaint from a woman alleging misconduct by Tuthill. The woman said Tuthill responded to her residence earlier that day to investigate a "checking the well-being" report. No further follow-up was required, but police say the victim said Tuthill later returned to her residence.
During that encounter, Tuthill allegedly touched the woman's back and buttocks with his hand inappropriately, police said.

Tuthill was served his criminal summons at around 3:15 p.m. Friday afternoon, police said.
Since the investigation began, Tuthill's police powers have been suspended and he was assigned administrative duties. He will continue in this status pending the outcome of the criminal prosecution and internal investigation, police said.
Tuthill was assigned to the Bureau of Patrol Eastern District and has worked with the Anne Arundel County Police Department for about three-and-a-half years.
