Anne Arundel Volunteer Tax Program Taking Apppointments
Trained tax volunteers will start taking appointments at Anne Arundel County Senior Activity Centers starting Jan. 29.

From the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities: Trained tax volunteers for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program will start taking appointments at six Anne Arundel County Senior Activity Centers starting Monday, January 29, 2018 through April 6, 2018. Each center has designated days and times when volunteers will be available. Call your local senior activity center soon, because appointments will fill up fast. Walk-ins are not accepted.
Anne Arundel County residents who are over the age of 55, with and adjusted gross income of $54,000 or less may use the VITA Program. Anyone with a disability may also use the program.
Volunteers will be able to help with 2017 tax returns only. Volunteers are certified by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). They help only with simple tax returns, which will be filed electronically. Volunteers do not do tax returns involving partnerships or corporations, self-employed persons, or rental properties.
