Boys & Girls Clubs Receive $15K Comcast Donation
Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County received a $15,000 donation from Comcast.

From Comcast Foundation: announced today that the Comcast Foundation has awarded the Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County with a $15,000 grant in support of the Club’s My.Future technology program, which uses hands-on technology training to equip Club kids with the skills needed today.
The grant will be used to provide Club staff with additional training and funding to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, including computers, tablets, smartboards, digital cameras, music studio tools and video-editing technology.
My.Future transforms the way young people use technology through hands-on training and education. The program allows club members to explore different areas of interest, and complete projects in a variety of fields – from Internet basics for technology beginners, to coding, robotics, game design and online journalism for advanced learners. Club members are awarded with digital badges which can be showcased online, shared with peers or added to a member's resume to indicate their technical competency.
