Burglar, Homeowner Trade Knife Wounds In Struggle
When a Pasadena couple was awakened by a burglar, one homeowner and the intruder fought with knives, police say.

PASADENA, MD — When a Pasadena couple was awakened by noises a burglar made, one homeowner and the intruder fought with knives, police say. The accused burglar — Philip Luke Koletty, 29, of the 700 block of 203 Street — got the worse end of the deal. Anne Arundel County Police said Wednesday that he has been arrested on charges of residential burglary and first-degree assault, but was in the hospital until Friday.
The residents heard noises just before 2:30 a.m. inside their home in the 8600 block of Gambier Harbor in Pasadena. The male resident confronted Koletty and the two fought, with both the homeowner and the burglary suspect suffering knife wounds. The female victim was also cut when she tried to intervene, police said.
Koletty fled from the residence on foot, but officers found him hiding in a nearby wooded area. He was taken into custody and taken to the hospital for a non-life- threatening cut to his neck and shoulder.
