Chesapeake High Wrestlers To Participate in Tournament

The wrestling team will participate in the Anne Arundel County/Howard County Duals on Friday and Saturday at in Annapolis, where they will wrestle a total of seven matches in two days.

“We will actually wrestle two matches on Friday and five on Saturday,” said Chesapeake High wrestling Coach Paul Tolle. “So, it is two really long days. Unlike a usual wrestling match when you go in and there are several kids in each weight class, our whole team will line up against their whole team. Then there will be a break, and then we will wrestle against another whole team.”

Chesapeake will face some stiff completion, including Howard County team Oakland Mills, who Tolle says is supposed to be very good.

The Cougars first match will be on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Broadneck High School, located at 1265 Green Holly Dr. in Annapolis.
