Pasadena Dash In Robbery Suspect Arrested: Update
A man who demanded money from a Pasadena convenience store clerk struck out since he didn't have a weapon; the clerk instead called 911.

Updated on Oct. 19 PASADENA, MD — A man has been arrested in last week's robbery at the Dash In Store at 8895 Fort Smallwood Road, authorities said Wednesday. After Anne Arundel County Police released a surveillance image of the suspect, several tips were received from the public with a possible identity of the robber.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Michael Delbert Friend, 30, of no fixed address, who was arrested Tuesday in the Pasadena area. Friend was charged with attempted commercial robbery and is being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
The attempted robbery at the convenience store was reported about 1:20 a.m. Friday. The clerk told police that a man entered the store with a shirt over his head and demanded money. Since the would-be robber didn't show a weapon, the clerk refused to hand over any cash and called 911.
