Davidsonville Teen Critically Injured in Crash: Police
Anne Arundel County Police say the 16-year-old driver lost control on a curve and slammed into a tree.

A teenage driver from Davidsonville is in critical condition after her vehicle spun out of control and crashed into a tree Monday night.
The single-vehicle crash happened about 11 p.m. on Beards Point Road near Beards Creek Drive in Davidsonville, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Investigators say a Buick Rendezvous driven by a 16-year-old girl from Davidsonville was southbound on Beards Point Road when it failed to negotiate a curve in the road and drifted off the right shoulder of the road.

The driver overcorrected to the left, causing the vehicle to spin out of control, police say. The Buick then crossed the road, where it struck a fence and tree at the driver’s-side door. Thet een was flown by helicopter to Baltimore Shock Trauma, where she is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is driver error, police say. There was no indication of speeding or alcohol use.
