Drug Dealer Charged With Fatal Overdose: Police
Police say he provided fentanyl that caused the overdose death of a Pasadena man in January.

PASADENA, MD — Following a nine-month investigation, authorities have charged a Baltimore man with providing the fentanyl that caused the overdose death in January of a 27-year-old Pasadena man. After consulting with the State’s Attorney’s Office, police detectives on Wednesday arrested and charged Gabriel DelValle, 37, with involuntary manslaughter and related charges, according to the Anne Arundel County police.
"These charges demonstrate Anne Arundel County's commitment to making our jurisdiction a nightmare for drug dealers," County Executive Steve Schuh said in a statement announcing the arrest. "I thank all our public safety professionals who have demonstrated through these charges we will punish to the fullest extent of the law those who peddle poison in our communities."
The investigation began in January, when police officers responded to the Pasadena man's fatal overdose at a home in the 100 block of Homeland Road. The police on Thursday did not release the name of the overdose victim.

During the investigation, police detectives determined that DelValle had provided fentanyl to the victim, which ultimately caused his death.
DelValle, who lives in the 4100 block of Annapolis Road, also has been charged with narcotics distribution, possession of a controlled substance and reckless endangerment.
