On Wednesday, February 23rd at 2:30pm and again at 6:30pm, the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities will hold orientation for the "Friendly Visitor Program" at 2666 Riva Road, on the fourth floor, in Annapolis.
Currently, 58 clients are on a waiting list seeking a "Friendly Visitor". The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities are particularly looking for volunteers in the northern portion of Anne Arundel County and male volunteers to meet with male clients. Applications are now being accepted. An isolated homebound adult age 55 or older or an adult with disabilities is matched with a volunteer visitor. Matches are made based on geographic area and similar interests.
