The 4th Annual Environmental and Cultural Fair at Bodkin Elementary

The creation of the fair was to fulfill two needs at our school.  The first reason for the fair is to create a community outreach to support our green initiatives at Bodkin.  The second was to support our cultural connection with Kindness in Action charity organization.  Our goal this year is not only to raise money for our charity but also to support Bodkin's green initiatives at the school.

Our theme for the Fair is Educate, Create and Shop.  We asked educational groups and vendors with uniquely cultural or environmental interest to attend.  Two local schools, Eagle Cove and Magothy Cooperative Preschool, were asked to attend because of their active  green  programs.  Children who attend  will  be able to create eco-crafts.  Our Bodkin Elementary students have made eco-crafts to sell at the fair in order to support Kindness in Action.  Local artist have created rain barrels to auction and many locals have supplied several "green" baskets to raffle away.  We created a reusable bag and a window sticker  personalized for Bodkin to sell at the event.
