Facebook Users Plan Rally to Support Chesapeake Coaches

Supporters turn to social media to organize a rally to restore the coaches to their positions at Chesapeake High School.

Supporters of the recently removed coaches from Chesapeake High School are asking people to show their support Friday morning at a rally, according to the Facebook page.

News of the rally is being spread via the Facebook page that was created to support Chip Snyder and Paul Tolle, who were removed from their positions as athletic director and varsity wrestling coach after concerns were raised of unsafe student behavior during a trip last month to an Eastern Shore wrestling tournament.

Facebook user Damian Titow created the event and wrote “If you care about our school and community and what’s best for the kids then please come to the board of education Friday morning to help in the support to get them back at our school. I hope to see many kids from the school and many community members.”
