Forum Addresses Difficulties Small Business Owners Face
Leaders will discuss funding streams, as well as the challenges small, minority, women and veteran business owners face accessing capital.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD -- The Governor's Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs will be hosting the Ready, Set GROW! Access to Capital forum June 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the governor's coordinator offices in the first floor conference rooms A and B, 100 Community Pl., Crownsville. Special guest will be Michael H. Shuman, economist, author, attorney and entrepreneur considered to be an expert in community economics.
The workshop will offer attendees a better understanding of the role of capital markets, crowdfunding and the federal Opportunity Zones Program. Leaders will discuss funding streams, as well as the challenges small, minority, women and veteran business owners face when accessing capital. Participants also will get to meet one-on-one with a variety of state, federal and local lending partners.
