Gas Station Kidnapping Suspect Found, Taken Into Custody: Police
A man stole a car with two kids inside from an Anne Arundel gas station on Friday. After five days of searching, police found the suspect.

PASADENA, MD — Police say a man stole a car with two children inside from a Pasadena gas station Friday evening. After five days of searching, Anne Arundel County police found the accused man, Ronald Matthew Benewicz, and took him into custody. The 46-year-old man had a warrant out for his arrest.
The carjacking happened around 9 p.m. at the Exxon located at 8101 Ritchie Highway. An adult female stepped away from her car, leaving it running with a 2 year old and a 6 month old inside. A man then entered the silver Nissan Altima and drove away.
Helicopters, dogs and police officers searched the area for the c. With help from the Baltimore Police Department, Anne Arundel police found the car nearby two hours later. Both kids were inside, and neither was hurt. The driver, however, was no longer on the scene.

"A parents WORST nightmare!" Anne Arundel County police tweeted Sunday afternoon. "Proud of our men and women who worked tirelessly to find these sweet babies! Good job!"
Police say the suspect is a white male in his 40s or 50s. They say he has grey facial hair and may have an injured leg or walk with a limp. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a plaid shirt and Walmart brand shoes.

Benewicz's last confirmed address is on Pasadena's Evening Star Drive, according to a police report. Court documents, however, list his address in the 100 block of Millersville's Drexel Drive.
