ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A Girl Scout from Anne Arundel County has outsold all of her fellow troop members across central Maryland, setting a record for the number of Girl Scout cookies she's sold during her career. Jenna Diehl, a high school senior, has been peddling the highly sought-after Girl Scout cookies since she was a Daisy.

She's so amazing at selling the delicious cookies that she finally reached her lofty goal.

"Out of all the years I’ve been selling cookies, this year I’ve reached my goal of selling 40,000 boxes in total," Diehl told WBAL.

Most Girl Scouts sell an average of 100 boxes of cookies each season. One year early on, she sold more than 7,000 boxes. Her strategy was to focus on selling cookies for approximately 28 hours every weekend during cookie season. She was so good at it that she was hired as a car salesman at just 15 years old. She's earned numerous badges and top seller awards along the way.

"I love talking to other people getting to know new people -- just putting myself out there. And, also, I’ve just always loved math and, so, being able to do the whole money thing and just, yeah, I’ve just always loved all of it," said Diehl. "I’ve gotten top (seller) for Anne Arundel County eight years and top (seller) for council five years. It’s definitely made me have a lot more confidence and be more outgoing."
