Chesapeake Life Center Offers Healing Words Workshop
Laura Oliver to hold writing for healing workshop at Chesapeake Life Center.

The community is invited to attend “Write It Down to Lay It Down: Healing After Loss,” a workshop presented by award-winning author Laura Oliver from 10 am to noon on Feb. 20, 2016, at Chesapeake Life Center on the John & Cathy Belcher Campus at 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD.
Oliver uses writing as a tool to explore grief and to help participants move to a new place in their journey through loss. Using the power of their own words and inspiration from words shared by others, Oliver will guide people as they seek to honor their own experiences and promote transformative self-discovery. Participants do not need to have any writing experience; all that is needed is an open spirit.
Author of The Story Within Oliver’s short stories and essays have appeared in numerous regional and national publications. She has a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing and literature from Bennington College and teaches writing workshops at St. John’s College. Learn more about Oliver at www.thestorywithin.com.
