SEVERNA PARK, MD — Two Pasadena women face charges for allegedly selling cocaine and heroin in the parking lots of Arnold and Severna Park shopping centers, police say. Residents had complained to Anne Arundel County Police about women selling and using illegal drugs inside a white Ford Windstar van, so detectives set up surveillance of the areas.
On Monday detectives saw a vehicle matching the description parked in the 500 block of Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. Authorities followed the vehicle and stopped it for minor driving infractions. While detectives talked with the two occupants, police reportedly saw drug paraphernalia in plain view. A search of the vehicle turned up:

- 40.9 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of $4,800
- 23.7 grams powder cocaine with an estimated street value of $2,300

- $1,784 in cash
Suspects Lindsey N. Alt, 33, of Pasadena and Heather E. Beaver, 26, of Pasadena, were both arrested and charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia.
