Hospice of the Chesapeake Receives $2,500 Donation
The donation came from The Baum Jackson Investment Group Charitable Foundation.

The Hospice of the Chesapeake received a $2,500 check donation from The Baum Jackson Investment Group Charitable Foundation on Saturday.
The foundation is a fund of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County, according to a press release from the Hospice of the Chesapeake.
According to the release, the charitable foundation, which was created by employees of The Baum Jackson Investment Group, have designated their donation to support sending six children to Camp Nabi and Phoenix Rising. The events are held each year in August at the Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center by a team of professionals and trained volunteers.

According to the release, Phoenix Rising is a retreat for teens who are grieving the death of a loved one, and Camp Nabi symbolizes the transformation experienced through the grieving process.
The goal of the Hospice of the Chesapeake is to improve the quality of life for those in the community that are experiencing advanced illness or bereavement through hospice and other palliative care.

“This incredibly generous donation will allow six grieving children, who lack the necessary financial resources, to experience all that is offered by Camp Nabi/Phoenix Rising,” said Michael S. McHale, Hospice of the Chesapeake, President and CEO in a release. “This gift truly speaks to the heart of our community and the generosity of those who call Anne Arundel County home.”
