Sunset Elementary teachers are participating in this year's Relay for Life event.

Sunset Elementary staff and community members will be pulling an all-nighter when they walk around a track at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Crownsville for an overnight relay on May 18.

The Sunset team will be participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, an overnight relay-style event where participants camp out around a track and take turns walking laps. The event lasts all night because “cancer never sleeps.”

This will be the second year in a row Sunset Elementary will participate in the event and they have pledged to raise $4,000. In an effort to reach this goal, the school has held many events.
