Man Drowns In Warehouse Creek In Edgewater
A man in his 20s was spotted jumping off the pier and did not resurface. Firefighters on the scene determined he suffered cardiac arrest.

EDGEWATER, MD -- The Annapolis Fire Department was called to Warehouse Creek near Slama Road in Edgewater June 6 at approximately 8:43 p.m. for a report of a possible drowning. A male estimated to be in his mid-20s was involved in the incident. A witness who called 911 reported that the male had jumped into the water from the pier and did not resurface.
Other witnesses were trying to locate him while waiting for emergency responders to arrive. According to a police report, when the firefighters arrived, they found bystanders at the end of the pier holding the man's head above water. Firefighters pulled him out of the water and discovered he was in cardiac arrest and began resuscitative efforts. The male victim was declared deceased on the scene by paramedics after they could not revive him.
