Northeast High School Closed Friday to Tuesday
The school will be closed April 27-May 1 for renovations.

Students at will get some extra vacation days this week and next. The school will be closed on April 27 through May 1 due to construction.
Schools spokesman Bob Mosier said the closure is due to the ongoing $101 million renovations at Northeast.
“It is all part of the construction process,” said Mosier. “We are now finishing the first phase and they need to move some classes and offices, and to facilitate the move schools will be closed. We can’t do the move effectively with students in school.”

Throughout the year, classes have been conducted in the building while renovations have been ongoing, but the additional days are needed to allow for the relocation of furnishings into newly renovated areas of the building.
Northeast was originally scheduled to , but the classes and offices weren’t ready to be moved at the time. Students will not be required to make up the missed days, and will end the school year on June 8, the same day as other county students.
