Pasadena Confrontation Ends In Attempted Murder, Suicide
An Arnold man shot a woman in her Pasadena home early Friday morning, police say. The man was estranged from the victim.

PASADENA, MD — A man entered a Pasadena woman's home and shot her early Friday morning, police say. According to the police report, the man then took his life with the same gun.
The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Ridge Road. The man, Matthew John Borck, was 33. The woman is still alive, but she is in critical condition at an unnamed hospital.
The report says the victim confronted Borck before he shot her. Detectives say Borck, who is from Arnold, was estranged from the woman. Borck's wife filed for divorce on July 29.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating the shooting as an attempted murder-suicide. Detectives ask anybody with information to call them at (410) 222-4731. Tipsters can remain anonymous by calling (410) 222-4700.
