Terrance Sellman, 47, of Pasadena has been sentenced to 22 years in prison after killing a motorcyclist and his passenger last fall.

PASADENA, MD — Terrance Sellman, 47, of Pasadena has been sentenced to 22 years in prison with two years suspended and five years probation upon his release after killing a motorcyclist and his passenger last fall. Sellman pleaded guilty in September to two counts of negligent manslaughter and one count of driving under the influence, according to online court records.

Baltimore residents Donald Tyner and Janell McDougald were traveling along Route 50 at approximately 12:50 a.m. after attending a motorcycle club’s social function. Sellman made a U-turn at a break in the median of Route 50 in his SUV then traveled westbound while driving in the eastbound left lane for about 2.5 miles until he collided with Tyner, 56, and passenger McDougald, 45, at Ridgely Avenue.

When officers arrived on the scene, Sellman was impaired and didn't realize he had been in an accident. His BAC was .14, almost twice the legal limit. According to the Capital Gazette, Sellman has a long list of traffic citations including driving on a suspended license, running a red light, hitting two cars and driving in a manner that "endangered property, life and person."
