Q&A: High Point Camper Ryan Mullen

Ryan Mullen, 10, is a rising fifth grader at High Point Elementary School.

Patch stopped by to talk to a few Pasadena students participating in the Anne Arundel County Rec and Parks Summer Fun Center at the school.

Ryan Mullen, 10, will be a fifth grader at High Point Elementary in the fall. Patch talked to Ryan about how his summer is going and how he feels about the start of school.

Pasadena Patch: What has been your favorite part of your summer vacation so far?
Ryan Mullen:
My favorite part was probably going to the Chesapeake Beach Water Park. We went with camp and I loved the big blue slide.

Pasadena Patch: What is one book that you have read this summer?
Ryan:
I read Beast Quest. It was about a boy who climbs a mountain and a beast knocks down tress. So the boy tries to find the beast.

Pasadena Patch: What was something you learned in school last year?
Ryan:
In science we learned that when you put a spoon in hot water the spoon gets hot. I learned other things too but I can’t remember. I like science.

Pasadena Patch: What are you most looking forward to when school starts back up?
Ryan:
I’m looking forward to seeing my friends and meeting new people, but mostly seeing my friends.

Pasadena Patch: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Ryan:
A professional football player. My favorite player right now is Adrian Peterson.
