Q&A: High Point Camper Taylyn Norfolk

Taylyn Norfolk, 10, is a rising fifth-grader at High Point Elementary School.

Patch stopped by to talk to a few Pasadena students participating in the Anne Arundel County Rec and Parks Summer Fun Center at the school. The day Patch stopped by was camp Halloween Day, so many kids were dressed in costumes.

Taylyn Norfolk, 10, will be a fifth-grader at High Point Elementary in the fall. Patch talked to Taylyn about how her summer is going, and how she feels about the start of school.

Pasadena Patch: What has been your favorite part of your summer vacation so far?
Taylyn Norfolk:
My favorite part was my vacation when I went to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. When I was there I swam, I fished and I rode my bike.

Pasadena Patch: What is one book that you have read this summer?
Taylyn:
The Witch Catcher. It was about this girl and her mom dies and then her father meets someone else. And the girl thinks her stepmom wants the witch catcher that the girl had first.

Pasadena Patch: What was something you learned in school last year?
Taylyn:
I learned a lot about fractions and I played this fun game where you add and subtract fractions.

Pasadena Patch: What are you most looking forward to when school starts back up?
Taylyn:
I’m not trying to get rid of old friends, but I want to meet new friends, too.

Pasadena Patch: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Taylyn:
This is a very hard one for me. I want to be a vet, but I can’t handle a lot of blood. So I am not sure.

Check back next Tuesday for another interview with a High Point camper.
