Robbers Shoot Pasadena Man On Street; House Hit By Bullet Earlier

Anne Arundel County Police are investigating two unrelated shootings in Pasadena that happened in the last 24 hours; one person was hurt.

PASADENA, MD — Anne Arundel County Police are investigating two unrelated shootings in Pasadena that happened within six hours, one of which sent a victim to an area hospital with a gunshot would to the leg.

In the first case, police received a report at 10:18 p.m. Friday of shots fired in the 8400 block of Garden Road in Pasadena. Residents told officers when they arrived home from work they spotted a bullet hole in the living room wall of their residence. No one was home at the time of the shooting and there were no injuries.

Neighbors said they heard a loud noise that was likely a gunshot about 9:45 p.m. No shell casings were found at the scene and no other victims, or property damage was noted. There was no suspect information.

The second shooting happened just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 4000 block of Alberta Avenue in Pasadena. A 38 year-old man told police that when he arrived home from work, he was approached in the street by two suspects who demanded his wallet and cell phone, then shot him in the leg. The assailants then fled on foot.

The victim was unable to provide police with any further information or suspect descriptions. Several officers responded to search the area but no suspects were located. The victim was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center for his non-life threatening injury.
