ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — The Anne Arundel County Public Library has received a $1,000 grant from Sisters in Crime, an organization dedicated to promoting the ongoing advancement, recognition and professional development of female crime writers. Members are authors, readers, publishers, agents, booksellers and librarians bound by a passion for the mystery genre.
Judy Colbert, member of the Sister’s in Crime Chesapeake chapter, presented the $1,000 award to Glen Burnie librarian Lorelei Bidwell Jan. 29. The funds will be used to buy books and audiobooks for the library.
“We’re thrilled to be the recipient of the Sisters in Crime We Love Libraries grant and look forward to the wonderful additions that will be made to our collection because of it,” said AACPL Chief Executive Officer Skip Auld in a statement.
