Sunset Elementary Students Learn About Energy Conservation

Constellation Energy visited Sunset Elementary School on Friday to discuss conserving energy.

Constellation Energy visited Sunset Elementary School on Friday for an education day in conjunction with the National Energy Education Project.

According to an email from Kelly Biemer, a Constellation Energy Communicator, 144 fourth- and fifth-grade students learned about the importance of energy conservation and different ways to reduce energy usage at home and at school.

Constellation Energy used interactive lessons, such as peddling an “energy bike,” which showed the difference between the amount of energy required to power incandescent, CFL and LED bulbs, according to Biemer.
