Young Teen Struck by Car, Seriously Injured in Friday Wreck: Fire Department
The 13-year-old was hit on a scooter, flown to a Baltimore hospital in critical condition, according to Anne Arundel County Fire.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A 13-year-old boy is in a Baltimore hospital after he was hit by a car Friday afternoon while riding a scooter in Cape St. Claire, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. A Maryland State Police helicopter flew him to the hospital in critical condition.
Firefighters responded at about 2:50 p.m. Friday to the 1200 block of Cape St. Claire Road, where they found the 13-year-old, the fire department said.
Witnesses said he was riding a scooter when he was hit by a car. The fire department did not say whether the scooter was motorized.

Paramedics at the scene called for a State Police medevac helicopter, which landed at Broadneck High School.
The accident victim was flown to the John Hopkins Children’s Center "with critical, possibly life-threatening injuries," the fire department said.
