Tickets Available for the 42nd Dr. MLK Jr. Memorial Breakfast
Anne Arundel Community Members to be Honored

Apostle Craig Norvain Coates, Ph.D., will deliver the keynote address at this year’s
42nd annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast on Monday, Jan. 16,
at the La Fontaine Bleue, 7514 Ritchie Highway, in Glen Burnie.
The theme of this year’s annual breakfast, organized by the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Breakfast Committee, is, “We will remember not the words of our enemies but the
silence of our friends.” Doors open and food is available at 7:30 a.m., with
the program beginning promptly at 8 a.m.

Keynote speaker Apostle Coates is the senior pastor at Fresh Start Church in Glen
Burnie. He is a veteran pastor of 26 years, and founder and presiding prelate
for Triumphant Church Assemblies. Coates holds two doctoral degrees from the
North Carolina College of Theology and has acquired licensed pastoral counselor
and licensed temperament certificates from the National Christian Counselor
Association.
As an entrepreneur, he has established Modern Priest Wear Inc., the Annapolis bridal
store Craig Coates Couture and the former Annapolis My Brother’s Keeper
Barbershop. Coates launched Growth Matters Inc. a consulting business, serves
as the county’s first African American chair of the HIV Commission, is a newly
appointed commissioner for the City of Annapolis Housing Authority and chaplain
for the Annapolis Police Department.
